You were everything and more.
She brought me home.
She brought me love and pain.
She broke and built me.
August was passionate and hot, contrary to the cold front plaguing my soul,
somewhere
in you
it vanished.
she finds me in my sleep, soothing the nightmares in my sleep, humming elegant notes that tickle the hairs in my ears.
she calms my beating heart with a slight of hand over my cheek.
she sounds of summertime blues:
cicadas echoing through the trees,
laughter radiating through her ground l
eaves reacting to the noise swirling in circles
as the sound of life breathes life into the night air
she smells like home.
she was kind and warm,
The embrace of her night kept me company.
A reminder her sweet sympathy is mine alone,
The companionship of her moon is all I will ever need,
The one we share; the one that lights up my whole world.
And August, oh my,
your creatures.
I pray your nightly soundtrack welcomes me home
on my final day
and on that final day,
I long to see her beautiful, untouched face.
Oh, August,
she saved me.
How I miss her already.
Oh, August come home.
